Alan Joseph D’Amico, 33 of Doylestown sadly left this earth on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
Known as Big Al to many, he grew up in Sharon Center and graduated from Highland High School. After school, Al started his own landscape business (following in his Dad’s footsteps). He eventually changed careers and joined his brother, Andrew in the heating and AC business. Al was a hunter and avid fisherman. As the years passed and his girls grew a bit older, he had to change his ways and become a “Rodeo Dad” for them. Al was a “second” Dad for a lot of kids. He just had that knack, and the kids loved him.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Karlie (Otremsky); his three beautiful daughters, Alli, Emma, and Charlee; his Mom, Linda (Roll) D’Amico; brothers, Dan, Andrew (Samantha); sister, Elizabeth (Jacob) Herstine; mother in law, Rion (Sayre) Otremsky; father in law, Robert Otremsky, sister in law, Presley Otremsky; and brother in law, Gary (Brianna) Otremsky. Al was blessed to have one nephew, Koy, and three nieces, Macie, Laramie, and Isabella. Al has left behind many aunts and uncles, cousins, family, and a multitude of friends.
Al was preceded in death by his father, Nick, grandparents, Joe and Vel D’Amico, grandparents, Alan and Martha Roll, and his Aunt, Carol Roll.
Big Al’s final act was to give the gift of life to others by being an organ donor.
A memorial celebration of Al’s life will be hosted on Sunday, June 18, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm by the owner of the Thirsty Cowboy located at 2743 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio, 44256. A small service will be held at 3:30pm. The main dish and desserts have been provided. The family asks that you bring a small dish to share. ❤️
