Alma L. Haas, (née Nicholas), a resident of Amherst, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Amherst Manor.
Alma was born in Quinton, Kentucky to late Gola and Beulah Nicholas.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook, watch her Cleveland Indians, and playing cards with family. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. She was the life of every gathering. Her smile will forever be remembered.
Alma is survived by her children Calvin New of Vermilion, Ohio, Colleen (Steve) Wardlaw of California, Stephanie Vasquez of California, Felicia (Jim Hunter) Mitchell of Strongsville Ohio, Josh (Brandi) Haas of Wakeman, Ohio; Stepson Bill Haas of Ashland, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Nicholas of Lexington, Kentucky, and Donald Flynn of Alexandria, Virginia and many nephews and nieces.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Haas; son Allen New; stepson Richard Jr.: and siblings Larry, Gary, Roger, Ralph and Joanie.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
