Alvin T. Madeja passed away peacefully on March 31, 2021. His daughter, Gayle, granddaughter, Shannon Dunn, grandson, Robb Harris and son-in-law, Joseph Potelicki were present at his passing. He was proud of his service in the Army during WWII and was an avid supporter of benevolent organizations supporting the US Military. He was a devoted employee as a foreman for General Motors Chevrolet plant in Brookpark, Ohio. Following 30 years of service he retired to a life of leisure. Enjoying each day of his retirement. He was a fan of baseball and boxing. He enjoyed long walks and helping with the care of his grandchildren, Shannon and Robb. During his 93 years, he was always determined to live his life under his own terms. And did so, until the very end. Alvin was also a good friend and neighbor. Throughout his life he was loving to family and caring to all those that he befriended.
Alvin is also survived by his sister, Bernadine Coco (nee Madeja), daughter, Dawn Weir (nee Madeja), granddaughter-in-law, Mindy Harris and brother-in-law, Phil Summerville.
He will be sorely missed by all those that were fortunate to know him and love him. Knowing that he is in a special place of peace and comfort. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family online at
