Ann S Grayell

Ann S. Grayell, formerly from Rocky River, peacefully passed away at the age of 93, February 16, 2024, at O’Neill Healthcare, Lakewood, Ohio.  

Ann is survived by her children: Margie Haines (Allen); Jeffrey Stanley (Diana Stockdale); Susann Stanley (Pat Cannon); step-children: Bruce, Katy  and Stuart Grayell; grandchildren: Alicia Brackett (Cody); Stephanie Gillies (Joshua); Rachel Klemola Gertsma (Justin); Hilary McCarthy (Burton); Gabriel Klemola; Ezrae Smiley (Steven); Angus Macri; and Connor Grayell; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Wiley, Gavin, Chase, Gabriel, Bryson, Brayden, Adeline, Maizie, Giullietta, Kinzley, Everett, Zander and LillyAnn. 

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Hermanson Stermer Stockdale (Arthur) and William Hill; husband William H. Stanley; son, John H. Stanley; grandson, Zachary S. Klemola; and husband, John M. Grayell.

Some of her fondest memories included growing up and spending the summers at Long Point, Maryland. At one time, Ann was quite the tennis player. She absolutely loved playing Bridge. Her other joys included crossword puzzles, reading, and tending to her flowers out on her back patio. Probably her biggest joy was sharing picnics at Clifton Beach with her extensive family and friends.
