It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our cherished matriarch, Anna Southers, whose spirited nature and unmatched sass left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A true force to be reckoned with, Anna loved fiercely, embodying loyalty and boundless warmth that transcended generations. Her laughter and quick wit lit up every room, and her unwavering support was the cornerstone of our family’s strength.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving parents, brother, her lifelong partner James Shockling, her beloved daughter Samantha, and her grandson Mikey. Their memories now shine together as a beacon of love and legacy.
Anna’s greatest pride and purpose were her family, especially her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to raising them with unwavering devotion, creating not just a home but a haven filled with love, laughter, and life lessons that shaped who they are today. She was more than just a mom or grandma; she was the heart of our family, a best friend, the keeper of secrets, and a feisty spirit who never gave up.
Anna leaves behind a devoted family to carry on her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Her surviving children include Greg (Val), Michael (Christina), James, Angie, and stepdaughters Sandy (Roger) and Krissy (Aaron). Grandma’s boundless love extended to her grandchildren: Gabby, Tricia, Megan, Kenny, Angel, Charitey, Lani, Erica, Anmarie, Amber, Mikey, Tabby, Sammy, Christian, Adrian, Justin, Skylar, Shania, and Seth. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kaylynn, Ellie, Braden, Bobby, Addie, Tyler, Landon, Aubrey, Reese, Owen, Nadia, Aiden, Bentley, Lexi, Layla, Imokalee, Aurora, Sylas, and two on the way.
Anna’s home was a sanctuary filled with the sounds of laughter, stories of the past, and the warmth of a woman whose love knew no bounds. She was the glue that held us together, the soft smile, bright blue eyes, and the voice that reminded everyone of their worth. Though her sass will be missed, her love and wisdom will forever resonate in our hearts.
