Barbara D. Fazekas, 69, passed away October 17, 2018 at Rae-Ann Westlake with her family by her side. Born in Lorain, Ohio to Frank and Helen (Donnelly) Hain, she was a resident of Parma and previously worked as a health aide at Altenheim in Strongsville, where she was a great nursing assistant. Barb very much enjoyed baking, knitting, singing in the church choir, playing the piano and spending time with her family. Those who knew her would say her smile lit up the room.
Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Andrew in 2015, Barb will be sadly missed by children, Maggie (Kurt) Longcoy, Andrea Fazekas (Mike Intihar), Andrew “Josh” (Monica) Fazekas, Mary (Rob) Dougherty, Tony Fazekas (Kirsten Becker); grandchildren, Katie, Samantha, Nikki, Amber, Robby, Bella; great grandchildren, Adalynn, Alexander, Madison, Benjamin; sisters, Dolores (Bob) Zimmerman, Ruth Flavelle, Kathy Keller, Patricia Geiger; special family friend, Bob Butcher; and many other friends who loved her.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial ceremony at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of both Rae-Ann Westlake and Nivalis Hospice for their loving care of Barb.
