Bernadette R. Mar

Bernadette (Bonnie) R. Mar (nee Acela), age 81, died at home on October 11, 2023.  Beloved mother of David Wilczewski (Renee), Paul Wilczewski (Jennifer) and Robert. Grandmother of Katherine (Andrew Zak), Sarah, Daniel, Timothy, Warren and Adam Wilczewski. Devoted daughter of Michael and Agnes Acela, devoted sister of Mary, Margaret and Rita (Richard McGranahan).

Born and raised in Cleveland, Bonnie graduated from St. John Cantius High School. Bonnie was a devoted mother and home maker early in life; earning her BS in Education from Baldwin Wallace College in 1988 and teaching in the Positive Education Program (PEP) for several years, before changing careers and managing Malachi Mart for St. Malachi Church, serving the population in inner city Cleveland.

Bonnie will be interned in Calvary Cemetery alongside her parents and sisters, Mary and Margie in a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or the Cleveland Food Bank.
