Bonita Lynn Shuman

Bonita “Bonnie” Lynn Shuman passed away peacefully on April 3rd surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2nd, 1956, Bonnie was a vibrant and loving soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and family.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Shuman; her beloved husband Dirk Cunningham; four sisters; one brother; and a cherished son-in-law Ma’Shawn.

She is survived by her older sister Jean Shuman, and her five children alongside their spouses: Bobbie Jo Cunningham; Melissa Shuman and Christopher Wade; Dirk and Denise Cunningham; Jennifer Cunningham; and Matthew and Shelby Cunningham. Bonnie’s legacy lives on through her sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking. Bonnie had a unique way of making everyone feel welcome and loved, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
