Bonnie Beorn, age 52 of Dover, Ohio passed away on October 06,2024 after a 14-month courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Even while enduring, her vibrant positivity and loving disposition remained. She was an inspiration not only to her family but countless others. Her courage, strength, peace and unwavering faith was unbelievable. Her love of reading, electronics, Christian music and her time with family brought her much joy.
Born in Barnesville, Ohio on November 01, 1971 to Raymond J. and Shirley Marie Powell. A 1990 graduate of Whittier Regional Technical School in Haverhill, MA. and a 1992 graduate of Belmont College, where she received her LPN degree. A career that spanned 27 years at Hennis Care Center of Dover where she had a love for her residents and families that was immeasurable.
Preceded in death by her father; first husband, Gary Hendrickson, numerous sister and brothers-in-law and cousins.
Survived by Husband, Bill Beorn; mother, Shirley Powell; sister, Brenda Gregg; brother, Earl Tice; mother-in-law, Joan Beorn; nieces, Chantell (Jared) Nylund, Chinelle (Kyle) Albaugh, Katarina (Chelsi) Cecil; nephew, David (Courtney) Morse; great nieces, Alexia Morse, Kylee Phillips, Ava Albaugh; great nephews, Niko Morse, Gio Morse, Adrain Albaugh and Demetri Morse - all to whom she was more than an aunt, but a loving Mother.
The family wishes to thank her medical team, Hennis work family and her many friends who supported her during her cancer journey. The love and support shown to her during this difficult time was amazing and much appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church, 878 Commercial Ave. SW, New Phila, Ohio on October 19, 2024 at 12 noon with Pastor Todd Gopp Officiating. Keeping with Bonnie’s wishes and lifestyle, a causal, sad but happy time of reflection is to be had by all. While we are heartbroken here on earth, we get our comfort from Christ knowing she is pain free and at peace with her Lord and Savior.
