Bradley Joseph Land

Bradley Joseph Land, a loving father and grandfather, passed away on January 27, 2025, at age 56 after losing his battle with lung and brain cancer. He lived a full life and could always bring a smile or laughter into a room with his presence. His family was his favorite accomplishment in life.

Brad was born on August 2, 1968, to Barbara Heikkila (deceased husband, John) and Barry Land (wife, Barb) in Painesville, OH.

Brad was a construction foreman, working on many different projects and often traveling across the southeastern United States for work. He was a passionate fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians and especially loved watching the Cleveland Cavaliers win a championship in 2016 with his family—a memory in which they will all cherish dearly. He loved listening to rock music and could often be found playing guitar. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was known to his grandchildren as Beepers for pinching their noses and saying, “Beeper Beeper,” a nickname that he lovingly adored.

Years before dating in 1984, he met his former spouse, Sherry (Pulford) Land, at Chardon High School in Chardon, OH. Brad and Sherry went on to have four children together: Jordan, Brittany, Christopher, and Cody.

Bradley is preceded in death by his younger sister, Bonnie Marie Land; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Lillian Gaspar; his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Evelyn Land; and his stepbrother, Tom Johnson.

He is survived by his four children and seven grandchildren: son Jordan Bradley (wife, Ashley) and their five daughters, Reese, Diem, Charlotte, Winter, and Lyra; daughter Brittany Marie and her two children, son Kai Eric and daughter Yasmin True Rosaleigh; and sons Christopher Shane and Cody Ryan Land. He is also survived by his parents, Barbara Heikkila and Barry & Barb Land; his brother, Bryan Land; his step-siblings, Tim Johnson, Ted Johnson, and Tammy Klus; several cousins and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for Bradley at a later date, with his loved ones carrying on his memory and spreading his ashes at some of his favorite places to visit. Loved ones are encouraged to come and share some of their favorite memories from their time with him. His family wants to thank those who helped take care of Bradley in his final months, and will be remembered for their kindness to him.
