With the saddest of hearts we are announcing the passing of our beloved Brandon Scott Ramsey of Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on February the 11th, 1979 and went to heaven on January the 12th, 2023 ending a long battle with kidney disease. He was raised in the Youngsville, Pa, Middleburg, FL., and Jamestown, NY areas before settling in Cleveland permanently.
He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Workman in 2009, his brother Patrick in 1976 as well as his Grandma Betty, Grandpa Steve, Grandma Tooty and Grandpa Leonard.
He leaves behind his father Jimmy Ramsey, sisters Heather Stevenson (Travis) Marissa Ramsey, Jennifer Marra (Sam), Leah Gupton, brothers Jason Ott (Holly), Brian Ott (Billie), nieces Rachel, Megan, Valerie, Alexus, Mercedes, Peyton, Cadee, & Madison, Nephews, Jordan, Ambis, Aidan, Patrick, Michael, Jason, Shane, Byron, Noah and Nicholas as well as his Aunts Lynn, Kathy and Maryann and Uncle Steve, cousins Trichelle, Steve, Andrea, Rocky, Joshua and their spouses and children.
He is also leaving his group of friends, family friends and co-workers who will miss him dearly. There isn’t a person that ever met Brandon that he didn’t make an immediate positive impression on. He made everyone laugh and had the quickest wit. He loved everything about Dolly Parton and owned everything she ever recorded. He was active in the gay community and helped countless friends find their place in the world and gave them someone to look up to.
Our hearts are completely broken at the thought of life without him but we know he is finally healthy and happy and able to have that conversation with his mother he was waiting so long to have.
Please join us in a celebration of his life get-together to honor him at the Flat Iron Bar in the Flats, Cleveland, Oh, at 5 PM on what would have been his 44th birthday; 2/11/23.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Kidney Fund in his honor. Condolences can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com.
