Carole A. Hausrod, age 69, passed away suddenly on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at home. She was born in Bay Village, Ohio to the late William J. Hausrod and Helen C. (Rimer) Hausrod. Carole graduated with a masters in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She began her career teaching English and worked 38 years between Bay Village and Cleveland. For the past decade, she was an ESL Instructor and tutor at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in Cleveland. She loved her dog, Freddie and her cat, Tyger. She enjoyed attending watercolor and pottery classes, watching birds in her backyard, vacationing in Florida (Destin, Sarasota, and Navarre Beach). She also enjoyed watching public television programming on PBS of Western Reserve WEOA and Ideastream WVIZ.
She is survived by her sisters, Karen G. Stursa (Wayne) of Lorain and Diane E Salva of Elyria, and a brother, Richard Hausrod (Jeanne) of Avon Lake.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth P. Hodkey.
