Cathy Lynn Desper age 66, passed away peacefully, January 10, 2021. She was born on July 29, 1954 in Carmi, Illinois.
Our hearts are broken, and our family will never be the same without our Cathy. She touched everyone that she came to know. She loved her family and friends more than you would ever imagine. She made everyone’s day when she entered the room. Her Papi Chulo, her soulmate, Richard John Vicencio was her heart of 50 years. She loved any kind of gambling, car shows, was a die-hard Browns fan, and most of all, riding on the back of Ritchie’s motorcycle holding him tight. She had worked at Park Farms, Sarta, Headstart, Orioles and was a member and employee of the VFW 3747. She absolutely enjoyed the people she worked with.
Cathy is preceded in death by her mother, Betty “Buttercup” Desper and father, Cornelious Guy D “Mad Dog” Desper; brothers, Steve Guy Desper and Michael Ray Desper; and nephew, Gregory Desper Jr.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Cheyenne (Ricky) Vicencio-Patterson and Shawnee (Bobby) Vicencio- Henderhan; stepson, Vance Thomas; sisters, Cindy (Randy) Rusu and Lisa Schultheis; her pride and joy, grandchildren, Nina Grambling, Shawn Grambling, Dylan Handerhan, Malia Grambling, Chase Jones, Dylanee Henderhan, Gio and Addely Thomas; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Greg (Vickie) Desper Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and all the extended Vicencio family members.
At this time, no services will be held, and a Celebration of Life will be announced later.
