Charles Raymond DeWees, age 77 of Louisville passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home. He was born in Kenna, WV on June 12, 1939. He retired from the Timken Company following 36 years of employment. He loved to hunt, fish, tinker on the hobby farm and just jump in the car and take off for a long car ride.
Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles and Pearl DeWees; sisters, Ruby DeWees, Laura DeWees and Freda Potts; son, Steven DeWees and granddaughter, Courtney DeWees.
Survivors include wife, Linda DeWees; brothers, Clifford (Emogene), Ernest (Judy) and Clarence DeWees; sister, Sharon (Bob) Gandee; sons, Rick (Johnna), Keith (Lori), Bernie (Theresa), and Jeff (Barb) DeWees; step-children, David (Renee), Harry, Michael (Brandi), and Brian (Maria) Cunningham and Lisa Stine; best friend, Wilbur and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service Celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, April 23
