Charles Stephen King, 77, beloved husband of Ok Wha King (Lee) passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in his home in Aurora, Ohio.
He was born in Leghorn, Italy at the end of World War II as the eldest son to the late Maria (Tufano) King and William King. Charles graduated in 1964 from Upper Merion Area High school where he played on the varsity Volleyball team as team Captain and the Baseball team. He continued his education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. where he graduated in 1968 with a degree in Business Administration. Shortly upon graduation, he followed the family tradition of service and enlisted in the US Army and deployed to Viet Nam.
Charles began his successful business career in Data Processing and IT at Lee Tires and later Upjohn/SmithKline Pharmaceuticals. He enjoyed very much his life after retirement and the quality time he spent with his wife and best friend. Charles was an adoring husband, proud father, and doting grandfather. He was always available and fully present for his family.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lee, daughter, Susan King Byrne (Patrick) of Chagrin Falls, OH. and grandchildren, Kelan, Gabrielle, Jameson, and Charlotte; siblings Diana Kelly (Joseph) of Spring City PA., John (PJ) of Chester Springs, PA., Allen (predeceased), and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
