Cheryle Ann Raines

Cheryle Ann Raines also known as Bashira Aliy, passed on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Fairlawn, OH surrounded by family.  She was 55.

Cheryle was born on May 20, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Bainbridge, Ohio while in grade school. Her family later settled in Chagrin Falls, and she graduated from Kenston High School in 1984.

She never lost her interest in animals, drawing, religion, poetry, traveling, and thrifting. Cheryle’s favorite activity was to shop at the local thrift shop for a good deal or take a walk on a beautiful day with her favorite dogs. Her favorite place to travel was Niagara Falls, New York to visit American, Canadian and Horseshoe Falls.  Cheryle’s family pet, best friend and companion for 18 years was Shorty, a determined and loving fluffy light brown Pomeranian.

Cheryle’s last wish was to partake in a family vacation to the Bahamas with children and grandchildren to make memories and enjoy a Screwdriver in the beautiful white sand and serene green water.

Cheryle is preceded in death by her parents Harley and Nancy Raines, and family pet Shorty.

Cheryle is survived by her sons and daughters; Sean Raines, Marcus Raines, Rebecca Raines, Alicia Paquette; grandchild; Kane Raines, her sister, Christine Fowler.

There will be a funeral service held at Heritage Cremation Society, 303 S. Chapel St., Louisville, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
