Cindy Lou (Butler) Lortz

Cindy Lou (Butler) Lortz age 62, of East Canton passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 while surrounded by family, following a brief and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born January 5, 1958 in Salem, Ohio to the late Charles and Betty (Heald) Butler. She was a 1976 graduate of Louisville High School. Cindy worked for the Timken Company for 27 years before retiring in 2005. Her greatest joy was her family; she loved being a wife, mother, sister and aunt. She could fix anything and everything, take a car part and put it back together, a master seamstress and the family chef. She was talented in anything she tackled. She was always the first to help anyone in need and had a passion for serving others. She loved her church family at Faith Family Church, where she served as an usher. She will be forever loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Charles “Rusty” Butler Jr; sister, Karen Butler; niece, Betty Ann Rogers and stepbrother, Scott Betz.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, R Steven Lortz; daughter, Tabitha (Jarrett) Hambach; son, Richard (Nicole) Lortz; sisters, Teresa (Bill) Robison, Shari (Dave) Rowe; stepmother, Maxine Butler; stepbrother, Jim (Ellen) Betz; numerous loving sisters and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of longtime friends.

The family will receive friends October 29, 2020 from 1-2 pm at Faith Family Church Chapel, 8200 Freedom Avenue NW, North Canton, OH 44720 with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow.
