Clarence “Bud” “Scooter” Gear, 68 yrs. old of Akron lost his 14-year long battle with COPD on October 30
th
, 2021. Bud was an avid outdoorsman, an expert fisherman, and never missed a NASCAR race. He spent 45 years as a diesel technician working for Wonder Bread and Wise International prior to his COPD diagnosis.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorathy Gear and mother-in-law, Katie Curtis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Brenda; father, Clarence Gear; brother, Bob (Jackie) Gear; sister, Patty Kendall; sons, Dave (Julie), Robert (Dawn), and Shawn (April) Frick; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Wade, Carter, Noah, and Emma; brother-in-law, Rick (Laura) Curtis; nieces and nephews, Melissa Gear-Rose, Kristina Gear-Simko, David Wright, and Jimmy Wright; and his partner in crime, Roxanne.
Bud was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many.
