Damien Dell Thompson

Damien was a spirited and passionate individual who often used humor to calm, impress, shock and even entertain people. At just 60 years old at his passing, he leaves family, friends and coworkers with great stories of a man who had few limits.

Damien passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, after enduring multiple physical challenges as the result of an accident in his home. He sustained a severe spinal cord injury that rendered him paralyzed from the neck down. Despite his strong survival instincts, he would eventually succumb to his injuries. 

He was most proud of his work as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and holding the title of Operations Trainer at AnewHealth (previously Exact Care Pharmacy) in Valley View, Ohio. Damien was passionate about his career and worked for the company for more than 13 years, contributing to its growth. Damien saw himself as “the last line of defense for patient safety’’, a testament to his commitment to excellence.

In his non work life, Damien enjoyed travel (IRELAND-2019!), participating in the Fantasy Football league, listening to his extensive music collection, playing The SIMS video game, having dinner with friends, and hanging out with his sassy black cat, Siobhan.

At Damien’s request, no funeral will be held at this time. However, a Celebration of Life event is planned for April near his birthday on 4/27.
