David Beckley

David Beckley, 64, of Elyria passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 after a medical emergency. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Mary Beckley.

He is survived by his wife Janet (nee Arvay) of 43 years, his step-daughter Andrea Arthur Polando (Gordon), granddaughter Jillian Ladd, brothers Kenneth (Rose) of Elyria, Michael (Carla) of Brook Park and Alan (Esther) of Rock Hill, SC, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A courier for Elyria City Schools for 31 years, David fulfilled his duties with a sense of humor that many will remember.

David enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and bicycling. He bred and raised Doberman Pinschers who were his faithful companions. David was always working on handyman projects around the home and would always lend a helping hand to others.

A memorial service will be held on June 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the
