David Ronald Ollis, born April 11, 1949, was called to heaven to be with his family after a very long, courageous battle with lung and heart illnesses, on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Dave was a US Army veteran and volunteered for a tour of duty in the Vietnam War, with the 518 Engineers Unit.
His hobbies included working on cars, trucks, small engines or anything else that he could get his hands on. (He would work on yours for free if you asked him, and he wouldn’t take your money if you offered it). Dave also enjoyed going to swap meets, taking trips with his family, fishing and riding his HOG. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Catherine B. Ollis; children, Sarah Faye Ollis and Samuel Ollis, grandchildren; Delilah Ollis, Hailey Holestine, and Corbyn Ollis.
Celebration of his life will be held this Friday, January 17th, 2020, from 11am to 1pm at the Louisville Eagles, 306 W. Main Street, Louisville, Ohio 44641
