David E. Steffensen
After a long battle with cancer, David E. Steffensen passed peacefully and quietly on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio.
Dave served in the Navy from 1977 to 1983 and then enjoyed his work as an electrician. He was an avid golfer and sports spectator, especially Ohio State University and Cleveland Browns football. Dave also liked music and attending concerts at Lock 3, particularly the Queen cover band. He surprised many with his excellent cooking and baking skills.
He was predeceased by his father, Garth and brother, Earl.
Dave is survived by his loving partner, Judith Askew; his mother, Marjorie; brother, Steve (Lisa); sister, Sharyn Boigegrain; nieces, Ashley (Lewis) Langford, Sherrie (Nick) Hickson; and nephew, Steve Steffensen.
Dave will be buried at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. A military service will be held at a time to be determined in December. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, Ohio.
