David Edward Lee Butz

David Edward Lee Butz passed away August 15, 2021. He was born March 23, 1965, to the late Thomas Butz and Louise Stacy.  Dave lived in East Akron with his fiancé, Jill French. Dave was a jack of all trades; he could build or fix anything for you and had a great eye for detail. He was a metal fabricator in Cleveland, working on many high-profile projects. He loved working with wood, working on cars and watching them race. He was a huge Cleveland Browns fan, his whole life. He had many people that he counted as family and friends. He enjoyed playing games with his boys or just sitting around, shooting the breeze.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his fiancé’ Jill; sons, David Lee (Jordan) Selman and Brandon Selman; grandchildren, Zachary and Ryan Selman; stepchildren, Jason Davenport, Doug Davenport,  Sharon Davenport, Eleanor French, and Hannah Farrell.
