David Allen Gamon, 69, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 10, 2025, while surrounded by his family. He was born November 30, 1955, the son of Albert Paul Gamon and Elaine Ann Gamon.
David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He considered his family his greatest blessing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Gamon and five children; Cheyenne Gamon, Danielle (Matthew) Gargalianos, Samantha (Anthony) Fabrizi, Joshua Gamon , Caleb Gamon, grandchildren; Connor, Colton, Corie, Giovanni, along with a fifth grandchild expected in March of 2025. David’s sibling include; Karen Hehnen (Joseph), Teresa Molnar (Gregory), Mark Gamon, Diana Batteiger (Robert), as well as many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents.
David retired after working for nearly 30 years with the Cement Masons Local 404 Union. Following this, he settled into the Westlake City School District where he enjoyed multiple roles working with the children and staff. When he wasn’t working, you could find him in the kitchen or grilling, as cooking was one of his greatest passions. His barbecue sauce and chili were by far some of the best and most requested. His favorite celebrity chef was Emeril Lagasse and he would love to give all his dishes a little extra “Bam”. He also enjoyed reading, gardening, baseball, dancing, and a good glass of scotch. He had multiple dogs throughout his years of living, and always believed they were a man’s best friend. Lastly, he loved his cowboy boots, and would have worn them with every outfit if he could.
Per David’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Instead, the family will hold a celebration of life in the near future to honor and remember his remarkable life.
David’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Goodbye is not the end, it simply means we will miss you until we meet again.
