David Lee McDiffitt

David Lee McDiffitt Sr 71 years old from Mineral City passed away January 4, 2024 at Aultman Hospital from a brief illness. He was born July 13, 1952. He was married for 47 years to Patricia J. (Tice) McDiffitt. He is survived by his wife and children;  daughter, Laura Marie Shattuck (Mike), Patricia May McDiffitt and son, David L. McDiffitt Jr (Lisa Parrett; granddaughter, Amber Nicole (Mike) Claunts; great grandchildren, Kaiden Sears, Logan Sears, Barrett Schweizer, Urick Claunts, Rose Claunts; granddaughter, Megan Dennis and (Duncan May); great-granddaughters, Dahlia Smith, Violet May; granddaughter, Riley Grace McDiffitt; sister, Velma “Peggy” McDiffitt Evans; nephew, Kevin M. Evans. 

He was preceded in death by mother, Wilhelmina “Bea” Moore-Young, stepfather,  George Young and father, William F. McDiffitt, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

David was a proud Navy veteran (1972-1975) and appreciated all those who acknowledged his service. David enjoyed collecting many things, scraping metals with his son, and volunteered to help anyone who needed him.
