Dawn Lynnette Zeitler, 74, went home to be with the Lord on October 16th, 2023, after she fearlessly lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. Born November 26th, 1948, to Donald H. & Leona Dull in Akron, Ohio. Dawn graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School, class of 1966. She and her late husband, David resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Dawn was a devoted grandmother and GiGi. She was always with her grandkids and great grandkids, she never missed a wrestling match, weekend at the campground or a pancake flip, she may have always cooked hot and fast, but when you were at grandma’s you never went without a meal and an ice cold diet coke. Dawn enjoyed Wednesday evenings where she got to spend time with Stepson Joe & grandchildren Colton & Nellie. She enjoyed her weekends at Countryside Campground, where she spenther summers. Camping has always been a family affair starting early in Dawn’s life she camped with her parents and siblings on family vacations out West and then eventually later on with her own daughter Tammy, who became the owner and operator, with her husband, Gary Brainard of Countryside Campground.
Dawn always had an adventurous spirit from white water rafting to sky diving she was always looking for the next thrill. Dawn loved a good vacation and took many with her daughter and grandchildren, a favorite trip of hers was to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world! She and Dave took annual trips with their friends to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and always came back with a good tan.
For the majority of her adult life she worked in insurance and made many lifelong friends along the way. She was an active member of the Northeast Ohio Mustang Club, participated in GNO, Girls Night Out, with her girlfriends.
Dawn is preceded in death by husband, David L. Zeitler, parents, Donald H. & Leona Dull.
She is survived by daughter Tamara (Gary) Brainard, Step-Son Joseph (Shelby) Zeitler, 5 grandchildren,Tabitha (Jacob) Albright, Dalton (Kayli) Brainard & Mason Brainard, Colton & Nellie Zeitler, 4 great grandchildren, Levi, Avery & Hadley Albright & Alvera Brainard. Sister, Dale (Joseph) Fischer & Brother, Donald O. (Melinda) Dull. Sister-In-Law, Jenny Zeitler. Nieces Elizabeth (Rusty) Stewart & Heather Dull, Nephews, Brian & Jeremy (Ashley) Zeitler. Cousins, Pam Larson, Chuck & Keith Conley. Many great nieces and nephews and friends she also leaves behind.
Memorial Services will take place on November 2nd @ 2pm at First Christian Church, 230 Stow Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, a celebration of life is to follow directly after at The Basement, 740 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
