Deborah A. ‘Debbie” Hagan, age 67 of Akron, Ohio passed away February 1, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in 1954 to the late Kenneth and Mabel Long and raised in Suffield, Ohio.
Debbie was a registered nurse and worked at Summa Health System and several area nursing homes. She especially loved working with the elderly.
She looked forward to her yearly vacation to Disneyworld and Daytona Beach with her mother until her mother’s passing, and loved her 2 fur babies (cats).
She was a devoted sister, friend, and Aunt which she was most proud of.
Deborah is survived by her sister Pamela (Fred) Weigand and brother William (Kathy) Long. Gary (Pops) James, Melissa Wise, and Tina (Doug) Hastings. Nieces and nephews Danielle (Ben) Miller, Nicholas and Michael Weigand. Matthew (Phil Maurer) Long, Courtney (Conner) Graham, and Brian Long. Dakota Piotter, Brittany Hastings, and Kassidy (Steffin) Murphy. Great nieces and nephew Henry and Sophia Miller. And Lilly and Emma Graham.
The family would like to thank all her friends and neighbors who checked on her, brought her a meal, mowed her lawn and many more kind gestures. A special thank you to Vicki Posten and Jim Whittaker who were there every step of the way with her cancer journey.
Also thank you to Dr. Laskey and her staff at the Infusion Center, and the Palliative Care Unit at Summa Health System.
