Deborah Jane Bowers (nee Shirey), age 63, entered into peaceful rest on Tuesday, June 8

, 2021 under hospice care at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born on June 2
nd
, 1958 in Akron to Paul Edward, Jr. and Karola (Schwarz) Shirey. Deborah enjoyed working outside in her garden and spending time with her family. The ultimate caretaker, Deborah was an excellent cook and loved looking after her dogs. She liked going to craft/antique festivals and could often be found sharing an ice cream treat with her pets. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Deborah was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Overfield and Cindy Yuhanick; and her mother Karola Shirey.
In addition to her husband David, Deborah is survived by her daughters, Candice (John) Storey of Cleveland and Samantha Bowers of Washington D.C.; her son, Bradley (Angel) Derflinger of Summerville, SC; her grandson, Tristan Derflinger of Summerville, SC; her father, Paul Shirey of Creston; her mother-in-law, Wanda Bowers of Wooster; her sister, Heidi (Robert) Wise of Wooster; her brother, Paul (Bonnie) Shirey of Shreve; and her close niece and nephew, Paige Wise and Grayson Wise.
A celebration of life open-house will be hosted on Sunday, June 13
th
at the Oak Hill Park Pavilion located at 3000 Oak Hill Road in Wooster from 1 to 4pm. Friends are encouraged to bring pictures or add a story to a book of memories at the celebration. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Lung Association.
