Denise Spangler

Denise Spangler, age 57, passed away September 26, 2024, surrounded by family at home. 

Denise was born July 12, 1967 in Canton, Ohio to parents Bernie and Gwen Clements. She graduated from Jackson High School, class of 1985. Denise was employed at Encompass Christian Counseling as Office Manager, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Denise is survived by husband Tim Spangler, children Tyler Spangler, Morgan Bruskotter (Zach), Alexis Spangler, and granddaughter Myla. She is also survived by her mom Gwen Clements, sisters Debra Nace (Doug), Diane Chenevey (Joel), Karen Aldridge (Rob), and mother-in-law Sharon Naturale. 

Denise fought a 5-year battle with head/neck cancer. She was a key participant in an immunotherapy drug trial at Cleveland Clinic and UPMC. Throughout her illness and hardships, Denise always kept a positive outlook and was an encouragement to many who crossed her path. The family expresses appreciation to the staff of Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute and also the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Christian Church (6900 Market Ave. N., Canton) on Tuesday, October 1, with visitation from 3:00 to 6:00 and memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
