Dewey Freeman

Dewey Baxter Freeman, 90, died in Akron on December 16, 2024 at Ohio Living Rockynol. He was born on June 24, 1934 in Alcoa, TN. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aimee Parris and Henry Freeman; wife, Carolyn Woodall; brother, Kyle Dillard Freeman; sisters, Thelma Murphy and Patricia Blankenship, and sons, Victor Scott and Jeffery Allen.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia (Peter) Reneson; sons, Stephen (Kathleen) Freeman and Robert Woodall; daughters, Martha Woodall and Mary (Carl) Woodall-Jappe, and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park for both Carolyn and Dewey will happen next spring with a Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of one's choice in Dewey’s memory.
