Donald F Gorman

Donald F. Gorman, of Richfield, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on March 10, 2025.

Born November 16, 1929, to Thomas and Marie (Steadley) Gorman in Cleveland, Ohio, Don lived his life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He spent 70 wonderful years with his wife, Laverne (Lally), who preceded him in death. The couple had four children, Mark (LeeAnn), Mary Halsey, Margaret Solar, and Ann (Tom) Boylan; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, who were the light of their lives. Don was the dearest brother of the late Bob (Lois) Gorman, caring son-in-law of the late Charles and Dorothy Lally, and brother-in-law of the late Geri (Jack) Kruchan and Peg (Mike) Callahan. He was also a loving and supportive uncle and friend.

Don was a proud graduate of Holy Name High School (1947) and John Carroll University (1953). He served in the Army Signal Corps and the Army Reserve and spent the majority of his career in the auto leasing industry. Don was an avid gardener and runner. He was active in his church and neighborhood association.

Don’s family expresses deep gratitude to the staff at Justin T. Rodgers Hospice Care Center for their kindness, compassion, and professionalism in helping Don pass on his own terms, with dignity and grace. His family is also grateful to the caregivers, staff, and Don’s many friends at Regina Health Center Assisted Living, who cared for him in his last years and helped him through his spiritual journey. Funeral mass will be held at Regina Health Center Chapel, 5232 Broadview Road, Richfield, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
