Donald N. Lehmier

Donald N. Lehmier, 80, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015. Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather (Papa Don) and Great Grandfather. He loved his family more than anything and will be remembered most for his sense of humor. Donald was born in Carrolltown, PA on July 29, 1935 to Casper W. and Hulda M. (Barnicle) Lehmier. He married Bruna F. Dorni in San Pier d’Isonzo, Italy on September 21, 1957. He served four years in the United States Air Force; stationed in Udine, Italy where he met his future wife. He worked for the University of Akron as a Human Resource Manager where he retired with 20 years of dedicated service.

Preceded in death by his parents Casper and Hulda, sons John W. and Donald N. Lehmier Jr., brothers James, Joseph and Fred Lehmier.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Bruna, daughter Sue (Jim) Dove, sons Michael and Thomas (Annmarie) Lehmier, grandchildren Jason (Ashley) Dove, Dylan Lehmier, Abbey, Ashley, Nicholas and Alyssa Lehmier, great granddaughter Willow Dove, sister Peggi (Leroy) Teeple, and sister-in-law Barb Lehmier.

A full military Honors ceremony will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:30 am. A celebration of life will take place at the Greentown Athletic Club 9944 Cleveland Ave. Uniontown, OH on December 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm.
