It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Jean Moneypenny, 73, a devoted animal lover, passionate beachgoer, and cherished family member, who left us peacefully on October 16, 2024. She was an engineer for over 35 years at various telecommunications companies. Born on October 11, 1951 in Akron, Ohio Donna grew up with a deep appreciation for nature and a profound love for all creatures great and small. Her home was always filled with animals, love and laughter. Donna’s happiest moments were spent at the beach, where she found solace in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. Whether building sandcastles with her grandchildren or taking long walks along the shore collecting shells, the beach was her sanctuary. Above all, Donna treasured her family.
She was welcomed home, by her parents Daniel and Anne (Hlobick) Pavkov; her sister Sandra Kamionka; son, Michael Moneypenny; and many dear uncles and aunts.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Pavkov; brother, Daniel (Kandi) Pavkov; daughters; Kelly Pavkov, Jennifer (Rob) Nicholson and Meggan Moneypenny (Steve), grandchildren Zachary Zimerla, Jacob Pavkov, Kaylee Pavkov, Alexa Nicholson, Alec Nicholson, Abbey (Ben) Herr, Addison Walker; great grandchildren Noah Congrove, Silas Goodrich, and Beckham Pavkov; nieces Samantha and Faith Pavkov and many wonderful friends. Donna’s laughter, kindness, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held next summer on a beach somewhere, where her family will lay her to rest with her son, Michael. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to local animal rescue organizations, like the Humane Society of Summit County or Graham Road Animal Hospital. Donna’s legacy of love for animals, Yatzee, scrapbooking and family will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Condolences and special memories of Donna can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
