Dormal Mae Parsons

Dormal Mae Parsons, 88 of Canton Ohio, passed away Monday April 19, 2021 at Altercare of Louisville in Louisville Ohio.  Dormal was born February 13, 1933 in Amma, West Virginia to the late William Preston and Maude Honaker. Dormal retired from the laundry department of Aultman Hospital and loved God and reading the Bible, enjoyed gardening and could keep anything growing and productive, but most of all she loved spending time with her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Dormal is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Russel Parsons and son, Roger Lee Parsons.

Dormal leaves behind two sons, Ricky Wilbert Parsons, and James Russell Parsons; nine grandchildren, Rick Parsons, Matt Parsons, Heidi Ries, Angie Parsons, Roger Parsons, Rachel Parsons, Ben Parsons, Kimberly Keyser, and Tracy Kemp; and many loved great-grandchildren.

Although it comes with a heavy heart, we know that Dormal is going home to be with God and her beloved husband and son.  There will be an informal gathering for family on Saturday, May 8, 2021 to both mourn her departure and to celebrate the time we had with her at the Keyser Residence in Canton Ohio from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to share messages of comfort and special memories with the family online at
