Douglas C Adkins

Douglas C. (Guertal) Adkins, age 67 of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, following an accident. Born in Canton, Ohio, on November 24th, 1956, to the late Clarence C. and Mary E. (Lieber) Guertal. Doug was great at automotive repairs and loved to fish, play pool, ping pong, and spend time with his dogs. Doug was a people person and enjoyed helping others. Doug was never a stranger to anyone and had a genuine kind heart, he will be missed by many of his friends and family members. 

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Guertal and Rick Delp. 

Survivors include his two brothers, Greg (Sharon) Guertal and Stanley (Diane) Guertal; children, Tonya Curtice, Rhonda Decost, Mandy Block and Tim Rue; along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours at this time.
