Douglas ‘Doug’ Allen Waller, age 66, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 2, 2019. He was born on December 29, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio to the late George and Lona ‘Jean’ Waller. He graduated from Ravenna High School in 1971. He was a man of few words but a good listener, who always put others first. He is remembered as a kind-hearted, gentle and generous soul. Doug enjoyed nature, fishing, sports, cooking, boating, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends.
Doug is survived by his long-term loving companion, Cindy Blendenbacher. He was a loving, generous and patient father to his five daughters. Joanne (Jason) Lattur, Alescia (Jason) Rhodes, Melissa (Brian) Eddy, Amanda (Justin Mcpeak) and Mindy (Zane Robey). We are forever grateful for his gentle approach in teaching lessons, his patience and time spent with him.
He was the biggest fan of his 13 grandchildren. He loved attending their sporting events, listening to their stories and watching them grow. Alexander and Zachary Lattur; Jace and Taegan Rhodes; Kyleigh, Lexi, and Brilyn Eddy; Carter and Grant Haddox; Rowyn Mcpeak; Zander, Abigail, Logan, and Gwen Robey will always cherish the memories made with their Grandpa.
He is also survived by his sister in law, Chris Waller and her children, Angie, Craig (Rachael) and Aaron Waller. He had a close network of friends who were considered family as well.
Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. We love you, Dad!
