Eileen Marshall

Eileen Marshall, 70, passed away on November 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength and resilience throughout her illness were an inspiration to all who knew her. Born June 7, 1954, in Canton, Ohio, Eileen was the beloved daughter of Alice and Carl (Bud) Shaffer. She attended Perry High School and went on to graduate from Aultman School of Nursing, where she fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. Eileen dedicated her career to caring for others, first at Aultman Hospital and later at Family Physicians, where her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her patients left a lasting impact. To her family, friends, and colleagues, Eileen was a source of comfort and strength, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Alice Shaffer; father-in-law, Henry Marshall; and sister-in-law, Sheila Marshall. 

Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Dr. Howard Marshall. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and community.  Eileen leaves behind her cherished children, Trevor (Kim) Marshall and Tyler Marshall, and her beloved grandchildren, Charlotte and Henry, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Ryan (Joni) Shaffer and Lisa (Jamie) Nelson; mother-in-law, Marcella Marshall; brother-in-law, Bill (Michelle) Marshall; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Eileen’s boundless kindness and generosity touched countless lives; to know her was to love her. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a woman with an open heart and an unfailing willingness to help anyone in need. In her honor, Eileen’s family asks that we celebrate her life by embodying her compassion and love for others. She will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
