Elaine Norton

Elaine was known for her glass of scotch around the table and her surprising dry wit to match that made her entertaining at any gathering.  Elaine Matt Norton, 82, of Seville, Ohio died at home on November 24, 2023, with family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence R. Norton.  She is survived by her brother, James Matt, children, Mary (Jim) Augustus, Beth (Greg) Barker, Larry Norton, Jack (Tommi) Norton.  Her grandchildren: Ryan Ihlenfeld, Michael Ihlenfeld, Hannah (Storm)Norton-Brest, Eric Ihlenfeld and Alex Ihlenfeld.

Elaine was passionate about her job as sous chef at many country clubs.  She shared her many cooking talents and recipes with many people. Elaine was best known for starting her children in the pursuit of purebred dogs and dog showing.  She was an enthusiast until the end.  She would be seen walking around a show and was always at ringside cheering on her adult children and her dogs in the ring.  She will be remembered well by the dog fancy as an ardent fancier.

The family will be having a Celebration of life at a later time.  In leu of flowers the family requests a donation to Take the Lead Organization.
