Eleonore, the second child of George and Marie Yordan, married Carl Edward Hunt on November 10, 1948. She remained devoted to him throughout their 67 years of marriage.
Always a dedicated mother, she spent a lifetime enriching her daughters lives through violin, dance, baton and cheer-leading lessons, in addition to involvement in the Girl Scouts.
As a lifetime learner Eleonore strove to consistently improve herself. She enrolled in cake decorating classes and driver education courses. She made many beautiful cakes and was ecstatic when in her early 40’s she passed her drivers exam.
On top of her busy days she enjoyed volunteering at R. G. Jones Elementary School and for Puritas Lutheran Church, where she was an active member. Eleonore religiously donated blood to the Red Cross and was proud of her VIP donor status.
Her biggest dream was fulfilled when her and Carl vacationed three times on the Hawaiian Islands.
In her later years as she dealt with the effects of dementia and breast cancer she remained strong and young at heart. Forever in our hearts we love you.
