Ella Ruth Whitlow

Ella Ruth Whitlow (nee Rankin), passed away October 19, 2017 at the age of 83.

Ella was born the second of six children in Lake Charles, Louisiana on March 10, 1934, to Glenville and Emma (nee Pellerin) Rankin. Ella and her family became lifelong Ohio residents in 1944. Ella attended and graduated from Washington High School, in Massillon, Ohio in 1951. On February 16, 1964 Ella married the love of her life Nathaniel Whitlow Jr. and on June 22, 1965 Ella gave birth to her only child, Nathaniel Rodney Whitlow. Ella retired from National City Bank in 1991 where she spent 19 years in the Consumer Loans Department.

Ella is survived by her husband Nathaniel Perry Whitlow and her son Nathaniel (Monica) Whitlow; grand-daughters Brittney and Whitney Whitlow and grandson Jordan Whitlow. Ella is also survived by her sisters Joyce (Rankin) Hill and Rebecca Rankin and brother Michael Rankin. As well as by 10 nieces and nephews, 59 and great-grand nieces and nephews. Ella is preceded in death by her parents Glenville Rankin, and Emma Rankin, her brother Glen Elton Rankin, sister Margarete (Rankin) Earley, and nephew Mark Douglas Earley.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday November 10, 2017 at

United Methodist Church of Brook Park
