Elliot Alan Wolf

August 21, 1956 – August 2, 2018

Elliot was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Rockaway Park, New York. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, where he majored in Philosophy, and New York University School of Dentistry. Following in his father’s footsteps, he opened his dental practice in University Heights in 1994, and practiced dentistry there for 25 years. Knowing that most people hate going to the dentist, he did his best to have a welcoming office. He was known for his corny jokes, but also his gentle touch. He cherished his relationships with his patients. Elliot was a gifted pianist, and enjoyed simple pleasures: a game of chess, taking walks, watching

movies, and having spirited discussions with friends. He had a great sense of humor.

Elliot is survived by his beloved children, Adam and Elissa. He was incredibly proud of them. Adam and his wife, Sumulida Luyi, live in Shanghai, China. Elissa and her fiance, Tarik Tosun, reside in Brooklyn, New York. He was the loving companion of Terry Parker for many years. He remained good friends with his former wife and mother of his children, Karen Kristy, to whom he was married for 21 years. His mother Helen still lives in Rockaway, along with his brother

Bruce and his wife Nancy. Elliot was predeceased by his father, Louis, DDS, who was his role model and mentor.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. An informal reception to celebrate Elliot’s life will be held on Sunday, October 28, from 11am to 1pm at Shaker Lakes Nature Center, 2600 South Park Blvd, Shaker Heights. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
