Elmer Bakk, who died April 30, 2024, was born in 1935 in Kolcse, Hungary to Joeseph and Emilee (nee Hadi) Bakk. He is the former husband of Kathy Bakk. He is survived by his loving companion, Cheryl Ebert, son Elmer, daughters Elizabeth Vannuyen, husband Tom; Julie Storc, husband Doug; and ten grandchildren: Paul, Jonathon and Benjamin Bakk; Minh, Lien, David, and Brian Vannuyen; Kelly, Randy and Casey Storc. 

After serving in the Hungarian Army opposing Soviet Forces during the Hungarian Uprising in 1956, he emigrated to the United Sates. He worked at Eaton AirFlex for 35 years as a master machinist, foreman, and plant supervisor. He loved golf and fishing.


He was an active member of the West Side Hungarian Reformed Protestant Church in Cleveland, 15300 Puritas Ave, Cleveland, OH 44135. Memorial will be held there on 8 May at 2pm. Memorial Donations may be made to the West Side Hungarian Reformed Protestant Church in Cleveland. Condolences may be shared online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
