Esther D Murray

Esther D. Murray, affectionately known as Nanny, passed away on December 11, 2023, at the age of 75 in Akron, Ohio. Esther was born on June 8, 1948, in Spangler, PA. She was a loving and vibrant woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

If you knew Esther, you knew that she was sassy, a little classy, and very smart-assy. She had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that could light up any room. Esther was a puzzle enthusiast, spending countless hours challenging herself and finding joy in solving them. She also enjoyed playing the lottery and bingo, always hoping for a stroke of luck. But above all, Esther cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Esther is survived by her daughters, Robin Rienzi and Lisa Kilmire; her sisters, Amy (Richard) Yeager and Durenda (Greg) Peterson; her granddaughters, Jessica (Nathan) Gera and Samantha Kilmire ; her grandson, Jacob Rienzi; and her great-grandchildren, KeeLee and Jaxson Gera. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, many sisters and brothers, grandson, Joseph Sayre, and her beloved husband, Charles Murray.

A celebration of Esther's life will be held in Akron, Ohio. The date for the service will be announced at a later time. During this time of grief, let us remember Esther's vibrant spirit, her love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
