Eva Maria Blaseg

Eva Maria Blaseg (Kovacs), age 76, was born on May 25, 1948, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 20, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kovacs, and sister to Frank Kovacs and the late Rose, Julie, Joseph, and Jolan (Joli). Eva was the loving wife of James Blaseg, mother to Kenneth Mullen, grandmother to Samantha Katonka (Michael) and Keara Kasper-Mullen (Brandon), and great-grandmother to Patrick and Matthew. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Rosie (Harvey), Rita (Tom), Marguerite (Ken), Susan, Mary, and brother in-law Robert, and was an aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. 

Eva was a loving, kind and giving person. She was extremely proud of her Hungarian heritage and fiercely loved her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14 at the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church located at 15300 Puritas Road in Cleveland, Ohio. The family will receive friends starting at 11:30, and the memorial service will begin at noon. A private reception for family will follow.
