Evelyn Bauknecht

Evelyn Carol Bauknecht nee Blecher was born to Paul and Louise Blecher on July 18, 1936. She lived in her beloved home in Northfield for over 60 years, and enjoyed a peaceful, quiet life. She passed away on March 15, 2024, after battling illness. She was 87.

She was married to James (deceased) and they had three children: Patty (Tim), Jimmy (Sally, deceased) and Donna (Ted). She also had several grandchildren: Brian (Ashley), Kathleen, Tom, Eric, Alex (Mike) and Maggie; and two great granddaughters: Audrey and Cora.

“Grandma B” will be remembered for knitting countless hats for the homeless; her love of camping, the outdoors, and particularly her picturesque flowerbeds; her delicious potato salad recipe; and many other things.

Evelyn’s family will celebrate her life at a private memorial service the day before Mother’s Day, followed by a private burial. Condolences may be shared online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
