Fletcher Jones Jr
Fletcher Jones Jr age 73 of Canton went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, December 12, 2022, in his home. Born November 10, 1949 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late Fletcher Jones Sr and Rubie Lee (Reed)Roberts. He finally made Canton, Ohio his home where he retired as a fabricator. Fletcher enjoyed playing chess with his grandson, watching westerns, listening to music and polishing and riding around in his Cadillac.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Archer and sister-in-law, Leigh Archer.
Survivors include his children, Wenona Foster and Angel Jones (in the United States Air Force); grandchildren, Britney Gordon, Derrick (Tierra) Gordon II, Colins Sanders, Kyrece Dudley; 7 great-grandchildren, Jacques Gordon, Janiya Gordon-Reymir Jackson, Derrick Gordon III and Peighton Gordon; siblings, Loretta (Willie) Buchanan, Annie Jones, Bernard Archer, Sharon (Robert) Cox, Randy (Wanda) Archer, Terry Archer and Chaunte’ Roberts; along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later in 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or flowers/plants can be sent to Wenona Foster at 2554 Ellis Ave., NE Canton, Ohio 44705. Condolences and special memories of Fletcher can be shared with his family online at
