Geneva passed peacefully into God’s hands on November 1. Preceded in death by her daughter Kathi; parents Raymond and Roxie and 8 siblings. She is survived by her beloved husband Ron; son Ron; daughter Joanna; cherished grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Izzi and Sophie and two sisters, Freida and Marilyn.
Geneva grew up in Locust Bayou, Arkansas. She met, who would be her lifelong love, Ron in 1953 while he was enjoying a three-day pass from Bryan Air Force Base in Texas. They were married in 1956 and settled in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
She worked as an office administrator for Bailey Meters until the birth of her first child after which she dedicated herself to raising a family and decorating the many beautiful homes she and Ron lived in. She was an avid sports fan whether it be little league or the pros. She volunteered at church, enjoyed painting, was a skilled seamstress and accomplished floral designer. She partnered with her friend, Cheryl, to own and operate The Flower Depot, in Solon. She’s loved traveling across the U.S. and collected charms from many of the locations she visited. She found her ‘happy place’ in Sanibel Island and lived in Naples for a few years.
She loved her grandchildren and would spend hours entertaining them in whatever made them happy, but more than anything, her love and commitment to her husband was untouchable.
A mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for December 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Hilary Church at 2750 West Market St., Fairlawn with a luncheon at the church to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Crossroads Hospice. https://crhcf.org/donate/.
