George G Briggs Jr.

George G. Briggs Jr. (Dugan), age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, after a period of declining health. 

He was born on June 2, 1949 in Dennison, Ohio to the late George and Georgia Briggs. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was a lifelong member to the Tusky VFW. He loved to go mushroom hunting, fishing, golfing, watching sports and listening to music. 

George was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda S. Douglas, five grandchildren, Carlina Briggs (Philip), Jonathan Briggs (Erica), Amos Walls, Serena Briggs and Malaika Douglas and Nephew Scott Grove (Leigh). 

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Georgia Briggs, brother, Jerry Grove and son, Jason Briggs. 

Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on March 10, 2025 at 1:15 pm.  Condolences and special memories of George can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
