George Michael Samko

George Michael Samko, 76, of North Canton, OH passed away on 01.27.23 from heart failure.  He was born in Russia on 10.13.46 to Valeria and Michael Simaschko, who have gone on before him.  We know he is now at peace and welcomed into the arms of the Lord.  Our hearts are broken knowing we have to move forward through life without our dear Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.  We will miss his quick witted humor, always having a joke to tell, and his abounding love for his family and friends.  After moving to Germany as a child and then later becoming a citizen of the United States, George proudly served his country in the Army and was a Veteran.  He attended Milwaukee Tech High School and received his Engineering Degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering.  He was employed with Liquid Control (Graco) for Application Engineering/Sales for 10 years before retiring into consulting and sales, and he was quite the amazing salesman!

He is survived by his wife of almost 28 years, Carolyn (Kent) Samko, sister Susan (Dale) Zahn, brother Michael (Julie) Brucki of Wisconsin, son Nick (Alicia) Kennard of Louisiana, daughter Carol Ann (John) Heather of Canton, OH, son Keith Temple of Wyoming; his sidekick granddaughter Carlie Slates; grandchildren Raylin and Ethan Kennard, Amber and Arieanna Temple; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Dan) Moschea, Valerie Zahn, Daniel Brucki and Caris Brucki; best friend Ken Wilson and numerous special friends that were near and dear to his heart, especially Scott (Lynn) Zephries of Texas and Zygie Wasik of Malvern, OH.
