Georgia A. Schmucker

Georgia A. Schmucker, age 76, of Louisville went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at home.  Georgia was born September 19, 1946 to George and Dorothy (Schrader) Schissler.  She attended St. Louis School through 8th grade and graduated from Louisville High School, Class Of 1964, where she was a majorette.  Georgia was married to Russell Schmucker on April 1, 1967.  She loved spending time with her family, friends, her dog, Snickers, and going to the beach and to the casino.  Her four granddaughters and two great-grandsons were the light of her life. Georgia belonged to St. Louis Church and her beloved breakfast club.

Georgia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Russ; her daughter, Renee (Scott) Vacha; her son, Jeff (Maureen) Schmucker of Florida; her four granddaughters, Shelby and Emma Vacha and Jordan and Mackenzie Schmucker; her two great-grandsons, Storm and Koa Sybole; and her three sisters, Linda Polder, Gail Gibbs and Cindy Begue.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at the Louisville Eagles on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  Condolences and special memories of Georgia can be shared with her family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
